DIY Toolkits
Do It Yourself (DIY) Energy and Water Savings Toolkits are available for checkout at all branches of the Sonoma County Library.
The Toolkits include the tools and information necessary for customers to perform their own home upgrade projects to weather strip windows and doors, monitor electrical usage, find water leaks and make their homes more efficient with LED lightbulbs. Sonoma County Library cardholders can check out the kits for up to three (3) weeks.
What began as a ten-month offering at three library locations, Guerneville, Sebastopol, and Central Santa Rosa, the DIY Toolkit programs has proved to be incredibly popular with patrons! As a result, the program has been expanded and is now available at all 12 Sonoma County Libraries.
In partnership with the Sonoma County Energy and Sustainability Division, the Sonoma County Water Agency (SCWA) and Sonoma Clean Power (SCP), the DIY Toolkits are offered as a part of a program promoting energy and water efficiency. More information about the DIY Toolkits can be found at https://sonomacleanpower.org/programs/diy-toolkit or in person by going into a participating library branch.
