The Library maintains microfilm copies of local newspapers for cities within Sonoma County from 1857 on. See the list of newspapers on microfilm.  To request an obituary from our newspaper collection, please submit the following form.

A specific date of death is required. We will search up to ten days following the date.

Please note that the death must have occurred in Sonoma County.

Photocopies can be emailed as a .pdf attachment or mailed.  The quality of the photocopy depends on the clarity of the microfilm copy.
