The Sonoma County Archives are stored at an offsite storage facility. These materials do not circulate but may be requested for onsite use in the reading room at the Sonoma County History & Genealogy Library. All collections from the Sonoma County Archives must be requested at least two weeks in advance to ensure availability.

Nearly all Sonoma County Archives materials are discoverable. Explore and search these materials:

Request materials:
To request materials, email history@sonomalibrary.org and include the following in the body of your message:
- Your name (or name of requestor)
- Preferred date of arrival
- Collection title/Collection number
- Box or volume number (or description of item if box or volume is not available)
