Courtesy of the California State Library, all California public libraries now have online access to The New York Times newspaper. This resource is available for access outside the library and has The New York Times regular newspaper content from 1851 to present.
How Do I get Started?

Register for an acct with an email address (sign in if you already have an account)
Create a password
You have checked out a 72-hour pass to access NYT (To renew your pass after 72 hours simply log into the above link again. Make sure to select the "Log in here" link to renew your access)
Log into the New York Times website or app and explore articles from 1851 to present.
