What is HeritageQuest?
The HeritageQuest databases include fully indexed and searchable, full-page online views of Census archives for the complete U.S. Federal Census, 1790-1930. Browse through thousands of family and place histories, genealogical books, documents, and official records. Search the fully indexed contents, then read online, download, or print out a reproduction of the original document. Use HeritageQuest and Ancestry as complementary resources to cover a wide range of genealogical and historical materials.

Freedman’s Bank records (1865-1874) enables researchers of African American heritage to search registers of signatures of depositors in branches of the Freedman’s Savings and Trust Company
