Rincon Valley Library is owned by the City of Santa Rosa. The City’s 1962 General Plan called for a new Central Library downtown, and branches in the northwest, southwest, and eastern sectors.
The Rincon Valley Library has served the northeastern Santa Rosa communities of RinconValley, Bennett Valley, and Oakmont since 1994. Construction of the Library was jointly funded by the City of Santa Rosa and California State grant funds awarded in 1991 as authorized through the California Library Construction and Renovation Bond Act of 1988.
Built on a parcel of land formerly owned by the Santa Rosa School District, the Rincon Valley Library is next door neighbor to its west with the Rincon Valley Community Park and to its east with Maria Carillo High School.
