Since 1982, Sonoma County Library and Mendocino County Library have had an agreement providing regular bookmobile service to Sonoma’s north coast. Sonoma County residents with library cards can request library books, DVDs and more to be delivered at no cost via the bookmobile’s regular stops (patrons searching the Sonoma County Library catalog should select “Mendocino Bookmobile” as pickup location for requests).  Patrons can also climb aboard and choose from the bookmobile's continually updated selection of over 4,000 items for all ages and interests.
