    Growing to Serve Our Community

More than a decade ago, Roseland neighbors and supporters had a vision for a library in Roseland.

Working with the Sonoma County Library, the County of Sonoma, the City of Santa Rosa, the Sonoma County Library Foundation, and hundreds of advocates, community leaders, donors, and neighbors, the first Roseland Library opened in November 2015, a permanent part of the countywide Sonoma County Library system.

Despite humble accommodations in a former furniture store, the Roseland Community Library was filled with books, DVDs, activities, technology, and the joys of learning and discovery.

Planning began in 2019 for a newer, better equipped library, which houses collections in Spanish and English, public computers, free high speed WiFi, plus a community meeting room!

Please Visit Our New Temporary Location: 470 Sebastopol Road

Our new, full-service library is open seven days a week, with evening and weekend hours. We can't wait to see families reading together, teens collaborating on homework or learning about new technology, and adults learning the skills they need to reach their life goals. The new branch will allow us to grow as a center for education, learning and lifelong success in the Roseland community.

The future

A permanent home for a forever Roseland Library is the next step in this vision, and we are working closely with government and community partners to make this dream come true.
